She has been in the Florist Industry since 1989 and enjoys working with all flowers but especially mixing native flowers with the soft varieties in the one arrangement. “I feel they compliment each other so well and it allows customers to have the special beauty of the softer flowers as well as the diversity of the natives which last and dry so well” Sandy enjoys all aspects of floristry but seeing the joy on people’s faces when she personally delivers flowers would have to be a highlight for her. Elizabeth is the newest member to our “Floristry Family”. She began her Certificate III qualifications in floristry in May of 2008. She is a keen and fast learner and very impressive with her floristry skills. “So far my time in the florist industry has been fun, interesting and very educational” Elizabeth is learning lots and lots about flowers and their names but Roses, Carnations and Geraldton Wax are the ones that she likes the most. Amanda is one of our Causal Staff Members. She has a bubbly personality & is always very friendly to our customers. “I thoroughly enjoy working in this friendly environment & have enjoyed learning about floristry”. Erika is our Junior Staff member and takes great pride in her work. “I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge working each Thursday afternoon as well as having a lot of fun”. JEFF CLOSE and BENTE MOLLER are part owners of Highfields Florist with JASON and SANDY KAHLER. Jeff is in the shop most Friday Afternoons and some Saturdays and Bente from time to time. They both offer a very Friendly Service with lots of Local knowledge about Flower Growing. DID YOU KNOW ? Many of the Australian Natives available at Highfields Florist are grown locally by Sandy & Jason Kahler on their farm at Hampton. This reduces the time from picking to you and ensures the best flowers with the longest possible shelf life.
